New York artist, Jay Shells', most recent art project plots exact street corners mentioned from rap songs and prints them on to street signs. Pretty laugh out loud creative. His pieces camouflage so well with regular traffic signs. I can just imagine a big smile spreading on a hip hop fan's face as they realize what they've discovered reading....
It reminds me of riding out to 560 State Street back in 2009 when JayZ's Empire State of Mind was released. Making the connection from lyrics to location kinda adds to the context of the song, ya know?
